How Much is the Doggie Bag? (Family Reunion Day Four)

As usual, Dave was auctioneer for the family reunion auction. There was a fine selection of items valuable and worthless, bought especially for the event or dug out from yesteryear. Here, Dave displays one of three "doggie bags", i.e. little stuffed dogs displayed in shiny paper bags. We each received $700 in paper money. Steve Ebert spent his on a Toblerone candy bar. Sophie stretched hers out for a whole variety of treats for her princess personality. Her prize, though, was this tiara. The Morelands, from Houston, contributed this fine shirt, colored like the Texas flag. Brent Clark, Jill's new husband, bought it, but Jono was sorely tempted to buy it for Steve for Father's Day.Instead, Jono picked up another, roomy shirt for himself.Emilie bought a group of empty notebooks Dave characterized as "Gretta's jourals" (he also sold "the teddy bear Lindy sleeps with every night" and "the mirror Nancy loved best as a little girl.").

Annelise had a great time playing with Charlotte. The little guys--Ezra and Jodi's son, Asa--just hung out in their finery.

Dave modeled some bright green Mardi Gras beads that Grandma Spendlove snapped up and wore the rest of the trip!

The little kids went crazy, bidding on treasures and then posing with their loot.

Everyone got acquainted with Mia, the youngest member of the tribe--just one month old

Earlier in the day, Dave and I attended a session of the Orlando temple, visited the Charles Morse Museum of Tiffany glass, and wandered through the beautiful residential areas of Orlando.
