April 2, 2014. It was school break and Jenny was tending Ezra and Mia while the rest of the Eberts were in China and Japan. I joined the party crowd for an afternoon at Discovery Gateway, SLC's children's museum, and lunch at the food court.
Discovery Gateway has fun things--a Life Flight helicopter to crawl into; a cylinder pumping air upwards, upon which children float paper airplanes; a model home and store and construction site to play within; one area for water play and another area for art projects. I pushed Sam in his stroller as Ezra explored the "boys' things"--the construction site, the water, the climbing wall, the magnets.
Jenny gave Mia special attention at the "girls' things." Mia shopped at the grocery store, filled a grocery basket with food, and paid for it at the counter.
We kept the stroller in motion, so Sam wouldn't try to climb out and crawl. There were too many people and too much dirt for a crawler.
Ezra and Mia loved the newsroom. They each pretended they were newscasters. Jenny joined the kids in pretending to be weathermen.
After lunch, we bought gumballs as a special treat, and headed home (or back to work).
