Seattle II--Mothers Day and Missionary Phone Calls

Mother's Day is a giant celebration for Mormon mothers whose sons are missionaries.  It is one of the two times each year when the missionaries get to call home.  Lisa and Kyle have two missionaries in the field--Michael in the Colorado Ft. Collins Mission and Spencer in the California Arcadia Mission.  We were glued to Skype all afternoon on Sunday, May 11, 2014.

We waited expectantly in the living room after Church as Kyle set up Skype so we could see and hear Michael and Spencer in Seattle and Kyle's parents could see and hear them in SLC.

 We couldn't get Michael's picture, but he sounded great!  Before the call came, Lisa and I wrote a list of questions, but the conversation flowed even without our script!  We talked about the boys' companions, prospective members, what a typical day was like, and what they appreciated most from home.

 Spencer came through in sound and living color.
