Marco
We experienced the miracle of missionary work right here in SLC on June 1, 2018. Our grandson, Spencer, was an LDS missionary in the Spanish-speaking mission which covers East Los Angeles. While there he met Marco, an immigrant from Guatemala working at a dental materials factory. At first, Marco was not interested in the Church, but he became intrigued after he saw what faith and Church activity did for his wayward daughter. Marco is a kindly, gentle man who now feels that his life was transformed by his conversion and baptism by Spencer. Marco also loves the missionary who shared the Gospel with him. Spencer and Naomi have visited Marco in Los Angeles, and this week Marco traveled to SLC with a friend. On June 1, we shared dinner with Marco at Mike's house. Spencer spent the day visiting the SL Temple with Marco and helping him to find his ancestors at the Family History Library. We were delighted to share in all the good feelings that missionary work can bring.
