Dinner with the President

Dave deeply admires our stake president, Scott Pickett.  As a bishop, Dave has worked closely with President Pickett for the last three years and finds him devout, kindly, practical, and marvelously efficient.  President Pickett was a mission president in Sao Paulo, Brazil, before moving into our stake, and so we arranged for Jonny to cook an authentic Brazilian meal for President Pickett and his charming wife, Nancy on August 3, 2022.  Jonny, Jenny, and Camille joined us as guests, and I was the sous-chef.  
 

The meal was absolutely perfect.  "It was just what we remember from Brazil," President Pickett and Nancy confirmed.  Jonny made Brazilian limonade for the appetizer, with fejoida, grilled steak, rice, cheese bread, spinach casserole, sliced oranges, and green salad for the entree.  The dessert was coconut cheesecake with passionfruit glaze and pineapple-passion fruit compote.

Even the chef was satisfied.
