Rice Cereal and other Treats
Jonny's 30th birthday was December 17, 2013. He chose Lugano Restaurant, one of his Salt Lake City favorites, for the celebration. Jonny joined me at my office downtown earlie, and we stopped by the Leathams' house to pick up Jenny on the way to Lugano. As it turned out, the best entertainment of the evening was right there in the Leathams' kitchen. Jonny and Jenny fed Sam his first solid food--rice cereal--and he grabbed the bowl and howled for more. So far in his life he has only had breast milk. As Jenny laughed, "Watching Sam howl for the rice cereal made me feel that I had been serving him something really substandard!"

We stopped by Camille and Steve's house afterwards to admire their Christmas decorations and talk. It was such a treat to be together, and we eagerly awaited having Lisa and Kyle join us.
