Chandler got married on May 3, 2018, and we partied at her very sparkly reception. Chandler is the daughter of Jeanine, who is the daughter of Dave's sister Nancy. Camille rode to the American Fork reception with Dave and me, which allowed us to have our own "talk party" all the way down and back.
Chandler was a beautiful bride. We told her we remembered seeing her at the Spendlove family reunions and she responded, "I knew you looked familiar!"
I laughed at this photo of Jeanine, the bride's mother, creeping around the party to make sure that all was in order. My frequent role as party organizer requires me to do quite a bit of creeping! Jeanine inherited the Spendlove women's managerial expertise. She is now the manager for 11 orthodontist offices.
Jeanine's husband, Todd, is a Mormon bishop in Montgomery, Alabama, as well as working for a high tech company.
We enjoyed talking with Dave's sister, Janice, and her daughter, Charlotte. Charlotte just had her third baby boy--no daughters. We promised to plan a get-together with Jonny and Jenny when they arrive this summer, so Charlotte and Jenny can exchange notes on creating their own fraternities.
Nancy's children were at the reception in force. Emmie, Jared's daughter, enjoyed her sparkler.
I love talking with Jared's wife, Megan, who is always upbeat and happy. It is time to go home, when little girls in matching red lace dresses finally fade with the sunset.
