Food and Flowers

Two years ago, when we re-landscaped our backyard, we looked forward to flowers and food, served up together in generous helpings in our backyard.  That's what we got.  Our Italian dinner on July 19, 2020, was a particularly happy mix of people in our sunny, beautiful yard.
Jonny's family was visiting from Iowa.  Thomas, 2, was just old enough to target four-year-old Henry with the water hose.

Sam, 7, climbed the big boulder lining the path to our gazebo.
Dave and Steve talked, after finishing their Italian cream sodas, lasagna with home-made bread sticks, and lemon ice cream with rainbow cookies.
Jonny took Dad's place and continued the conversation.
Janice, Dave's sister, relaxed and told us how her husband, Mark, serving as an air traffic controller in Saudi Arabia, is doing.

Jenny and Heidi exchanged tips on managing babies and Spendlove men.

And I was pleased with my handiwork.
