Guest Chefs

Michael K offered, last spring, to be the guest chef for a Sunday dinner.  On September 18, 2022, we finally synched our schedules.  Michael and Rebecca cooked a delicious meal!

The entree was salmon baked with Rebekah's creamy dill sauce.  Michael and Rebekah accompanied the salmon with mushroom risotto and ratatouille.  They then served cherries jubilee for dessert, with homemade cherry sauce, served with a bit of flamed brandy.

The creamy dill sauce, risotto, and cherries jubilee were so good that I tucked the recipes for them away in my recipe file to use again and again.  Michael had Rebekah make another batch of creamy dill sauce after she got home, since it was so good he wanted to have a repeat!

We even had an "after dinner speaker."  Cute Mia shared with us a talk she had just given in Sacrament Meeting.
It is a special treat to have Kirsten join us from BYU.  Kirsten sometimes tends Eliza, and so Eliza enjoyed a happy moment with her nanny on our front lawn.
