Hawaii: All Those Fishies (10.30.25)

Our plane didn't leave Maui until afternoon, so we spent the morning at a wonderful acquarium.

After my delight during my morning of snorkeling, I spent most of my time in the "Shallow Reefs" exhibit, trying to identify the fish I had seen underwater.

 

I was like my grandchildren, touching the creatures in the tide pool exhibit.

The highlight of the aquarium was a 3-D movie about whales.  It consisted, almost exclusively, of footage taken underwater of whale mothers, calves, and bull whales, accompanied by their otherworldly "conversations."  It was a perfect finale for our trip and made me want to return to Hawaii yet one more time.
