Getting Snug in Waterville

We spent our first morning in Waterville exploring our condo by the sea. The ocean was literally right outside our front window.

Our rooms were part of the Huntsman Lodge, although the restaurant and office had closed for the season, and we were virtually the only souls around. The manager left the key in an envelope for us, and we never saw him in the flesh at all.
We had a cosy living room, bedroom, and even a sauna.

The utilities took some getting-used-to. The bathroom had a "Dimplex," which wafted in hot air to turn the room into a clothes dryer.
To take a shower, we first adjusted a dial for hot and cold water and then pushed a button to turn it on. Until we figured out that button, there was no bath.
For lights or any of the other electrical appliances to run, we had to click the right assortment of switches.
Waterville was a pleasant place, though wet, with typically Irish, bright-painted buildings...
and a picturesque church with Celtic crosses in the graveyard.

The surrounding countryside was gloriously green.

We hopped into our tiny car, after exploring our surroundings, and drove to Killarney.
