Happy Birthday, Calder Burke!

Calder Burke's first birthday party!  On March 25, 2023, we gathered at Heidi and Mike's house, where we donned baby animal hats, held baby animal balloons, and let Audrey pretend that the party was about her, rather than Calder!  Heidi's parents, Gay and Bevan Bastian, joined us.
 

Calder sat in his high chair, banging on the tray, oblivious to being the center of attention.

Audrey, of course, celebrated as if it were her own birthday.  Audrey wore a hat and passed out the other hats, describing for us the baby pigs, chicks, and other animals on each hat.

As usual, Heidi's food was delicious--soup and sandwiches and a beautifully decorated birthday cake.  We sang happy birthday to Calder and then watched him eat his own little cake.

Heidi and Mike had created yet another thoughtful, creative party.
