Satellites

My brother, Scott Calder, has long been a favorite with my children.  Camille's little children called him, fondly, "Dr. Nerdy," because of his lifelong habit of collecting computers, cameras, and other high tech gear.  My son Jonny is now in the same "nerdy" field as Scott--satellites.  Scott's company, Main Stream Data, distributes private companies' data around the world by satellite.  Jonny's assignment, for John Deere, is to connect Deere equipment, around the world, by cell tower and satellite.  The aim is to extract data from the machines to analyze and improve their functioning, and to put data back into machines to make them more efficient and/or autonomous.  Scott and Jonny met at a satellite conference on March 14, 2023.
