The Tasting

Camille and Emilie have been planning Emilie's wedding for months.  Camille has many lists and Emilie has a spreadsheet on her computer.  One of the big unknowns is how good the caterer's food will be.  On March 14, 2023, I met Camille and Annie at Brown Brother's Catering in Orem.  We sat at a table with large plates, goblets, and silverware, as the chef prepared and delivered to us the menu that will be served at Emilie's wedding reception.  There will be "sliders," or small sandwiches, representing the communities that have been important in Emilie's and Jake's lives--meatball and marinara sandwiches for Boston (where Emilie lived for five years), chicken and waffles for Mississippi (Jake's MBA), miniature hamburgers with fry sauce for Salt Lake City, brisket and barbecue sauce for Texas (where Jake and Emilie now live), and a quesadilla for Arizona (where Jake's family lived).  There will also be Italian cream sodas before dinner, and wedding cake and ice cream after dinner.  A feast. The tasters pointed out some corrections (ex. smaller rolls, crisper lettuce), but went home pleased.
