Michael's Marathon

On August 17, 2013, Michael ran the Park City Marathon.  I joined the crowd watching the runners come in.

Michael's time was four hours 12 minutes.  When he was done, he was happy, relieved, and sore, all at once.

We ate brunch at The Bridge in Park City.  It is a Bazilian/American café perched next to the bridge over the main street into Park City, and also next to the gondola leading to the top of the mountain.  Michael ordered granola with fruit, I ordered the Brazilian shrimp salad, and we sunned ourselves on the patio as we ate and talked.

Michael is always game for exotic restaurants, such as The Bayou, with Cajun and Creole food.  We ate Sunday supper there one day when Dave was out of town. One Creole specialty of The Bayou is sweet potato fries with remoulade sauce.

It is also a treat to visit Michael at his new home on 5th and D in the Avenues.  It is a Victorian from the late 1800s, with a gorgeous view of the mountains.

It's so great to see Michael finish his marathon. He doesn't even look tired.
