Emilie and Luke (9.6.26)

Emilie was in town from Arizona on September 6, 2026.  She brought her new baby, Luke, with her to my Chinese Sunday dinner  We all exclaimed over how beautiful and smart and perfect Luke is!

We had representatives from all of Dave's and my children's families.  Michael and Kirsten are Lisa's children.

Camille sat next to Sam, Jonny's oldest son.

Dave presided as pater familias.

Heidi sat next to Jonny.

And Susan was a bonus.  We haven't yet figured out how we are related to Susan, but Susan's family did emigrate from a town in England which is just down the road from where my Smith relatives came from (Caroline Smith, who married Thomas Cottam, and is my great-great-grandmother).  Jonny, who recently visited the Smiths' home village, suggested that Susan's and our relatives "must have known each other", from how close their villages were.
