Leaving Moline (Moline, Illinois 8.27.2026)

Illinois has been an important spot for Jonny and Jenny.  Jonny and Jenny spent four years in Chicago, as Jonny earned a JD/MBA from the University of Chicago and Jenny earned her nurse practitioner degree at the University of Illinois.  Jonny then began working for John Deere, which is headquartered in Moline, Illinois.  For several years, Jonny and Jenny lived fulltime in Bettendorf, Iowa, a sister city of Moline.  Then, after they moved to Salt Lake City, Jonny kept a small house in Moline and lived there for parts of every month, as he continued working for John Deere in Illinois.  He even took out residency in Illinois.  On August 27, 2026, Dave flew to Moline to help Jonny pack up and move his remaining belongings to Salt Lake after selling his Moline house.  Jonny's new position at John Deere has him supervising sales for Deere affiliates located in New Jersey and New Zealand.  He'll travel a lot, but not so much to Illinois.
As Dave flew into Moline, he took photos of that beautiful, lush, Midwestern landscape.  In the evening, after Jonny was done working, Jonny played a round of golf, his sport of choice, while Dave cheered his efforts.

The next morning, as Dave waited for Jonny to finish working, so they could begin the drive home, Dave took his usual multi-mile morning walk along the Moline RiverWay.  Moline borders the Mississippi River, and Jonny's house was also along its banks.
