Always on His Mind--Prince Edward Island (8.28.24)

Our granddaughter, Emilie Willardson, and her husband, Jake, texted this photo to Dave of their trip to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, in Canada.  Emilie remembered, with great thoughtfulness, that Dave had spent his LDS mission, so many years ago, on Prince Edward Island.
 

Dave's mission was a challenging time of sharing the Gospel with strangers in New England and eastern Canada, as well as seeking his own religious testimony.  It was also a time of making lifelong friends, such as Paul Maughn, in this photo.  Paul later became a state court judge in Salt Lake City and Dave kept up their relationship through occasional lunches together.  Our son Jonny even became acquainted with Paul's son.  Dave and I have also returned to Prince Edward Island, seeking out original members of the Prince Edward Island branch of the Church.  So many memories.
