An Evening with Calder and Audrey (3.16.24)

Mike and Heidi went to dinner together on March 16, 2024.  Dave and I offered to watch Calder and Audrey.  It was a delightful evening.  We divided to conquer.  Dave held Calder, read him stories, and followed him around as he rode put together blocks and rode his wheeled "creatures."

Audrey showed me the treasures in her closet.  As we turned on the light in her bedroom, Audrey told me, "There are ghosts in my bedroom.  They run away when you turn the light on and come back when you turn the light off."  Audrey doesn't have to take a chance on the ghosts in a dark bedroom because she sleeps in Mike's and Heidi's suite.  

Audrey showed me her collection of busts of famous composers.  She could pick out ones like Mozart and Beethoven.  She also showed me her doll from "my trip to Southeast Asia."   She remembered the animals of Southeast Asia, such as feeding watermelon to elephants.
