Sam the Showman (5.15.24)

Jenny invited Dave and me to attend Sam's end-of-year 5th grade musical at Morningside Elementary.  The musical featured songs and dances about the American Revolution.  Sam played several parts, including   .  He not only read short speeches, but he also danced and sang!  I didn't know we had such a talented performer in the family.  Sam is in an accelerated class, and all the children were outstanding, but Sam was really special.

Between solo parts, Sam sang in the chorus.

After the program, we treated Sam, Henry, and Jenny to ice cream at Handel's, the excellent ice cream store near their home.  Henry will be attending third grade at Morningside Elementary next year, also in an accelerated class.  He attended Sam's program to get a acquainted with the special programs he can expect to participate in.
