I attended the ward Christmas breakfast on December 18, 2021. “Come and help me welcome people,” David encouraged me. Being warm and friendly to ward members is one of the roles of my “non-job” as bishop’s wife. Michael K and Rebekah joined us at the breakfast with Lily, and they took Lily to meet Santa for the first time. Lily beamed up at Santa as if he were her own grandpa. Later, Santa stopped by our table, as we ate breakfast, and greeted Lily again. She beamed up at him again. “We had a moment together,” he said, referring to Lily’s first meeting with him.
