Thomas and His Christmas Cookie

I met Jonny for lunch at the Blue Lemon on December 23, 2021.  Jonny had three-year-old Thomas in tow.  “Thomas is a good boy,” Jonny said, which Thomas repeated, looking at me earnestly.  Jonny told me how well Thomas reads, and he then had Thomas spell words for me, such as “Thomas” (no problem), fish (no problem, except with the “h”), and “Mommy” (he thought the “o” was an “a”).  That’s great work for a three-year-old.  Thomas was rewarded for his efforts, both at spelling and accompanying Daddy on a Christmas shopping trip, with a green Christmas cookie.  He considered it fair payment.

Jonny and I had a good chat about family, work, Christmas, and life in general.
Thomas concentrated on that cookie.
