A wedding shower is a shower of gifts, but also a shower of love. As the Calders and Spendloves gathered to wish Mike and Heidi well on April 25, 2015, and as Heidi's mom and sister joined us, we felt the love encircling this brand new family.
Dave relaxed with the ladies. He enjoyed some laughs with his sister, Nancy Moench.
Michelle Spendlove, Alan Dale's daughter, joined us for a brunch of yogurt parfaits, sausage casserole, and blueberry muffins.
Jamie, Grant Calder's wife, came with her mother-in-law, Jean Calder.
Lindy, Alan Dale's wife, has not been feeling well, so we were glad she was able to join the group.
Ashley Moreland, Joshua's wife, brought Finn.
Jared's wife, Melissa, brought her new baby, as well.
Jane Moench Green wished Mike and Heidi well.

Heidi's sister, Jessica Eagan, brought her children, Hannah and Andrew.
Heidi's mother, Gay Bastian, was gracious to all the members of Mike's family.
Charlotte Alvey came with Dave's sister, Janice Moreland, and they were both as beautiful as always.
Camille enjoyed a chance to catch up with news from her cousin, Jennifer.
After brunch, we asked Heidi and Mike questions about how they met, how they fell in love, and their plans for their future.
Everyone loves a romantic tale!
And, of course, there were presents to open.
