On Sunday, December 28, 2014, we hosted the Spendlove Christmas Party at our home. There was a crop of new babies. Joshua and Ashley Moreland brought Finn.
Tony and Charlotte Alvey brought newborn Dax and two-year-old Jett.
Jared and Megan Moench brought their cute girls--the baby who looks just like Megan and the two-year-old who has the huge brown eyes of the Moenches. Jessica makes three, and she looks like Megan, as well.
Dave's three siblings all joined the party. Nancy and Darrell told about how much they enjoy their new home in Centerville and their trips with Darrell's Corvette club.
Janice is now living permanently in Centerville, next door to Nancy and Darrell.
We were delighted to see Alan Dale and Lindy, who brought Michelle.
Jeanine and Todd were visiting from Alabama, where Todd is now a bishop.
It was a treat to have time to sit and talk with our fun family friends.
Our family rounded out the crowd--Kyle and Lisa, Steve and Camille, Jonny and Jenny, and cousins from both Lisa's and Camille's families.
We ate dinner, talked, and played a game for which we read descriptions of family members from Janice's cookbook, published in 1987. We had to guess who each description described. Nancy had the nieces read letters they had written to Dave and Nancy's mother for a gift when the girls were all teenagers, more than twenty years ago. "Let's do this again next year," we agreed.
