What Would Dad Do? What Would Sophia Do?

It's a favorite Spendlove event--Dave and Sophia's joint birthday party.  Both were born on December 26.  Both also are witty people who savor a bit of limelight.  On this birthday eve, their public adored them.

 We ate cake, opened presents, and played a game created by Michael and Heidi.  Michael read situations like, "Sophia and Dad each have $10,000 to spend on a trip to New York City," "The Christmas tree catches on fire," and "The hot tub in St. George breaks again."  Michael then asked, "What would Dad do?  What would Sophia do?"  We shared our answers and compared them to what Sophia and Dad said they'd do.

 Everybody took part.   Bryce loved to share his answers, and we all laughed and laughed.

 Heidi Bastian, Michael's date, was a special guest.  We wondered if a wedding was in their future, since Mike drove to Axtell, Utah, the day after Christmas, to meet Heidi's parents.

 We had almost all the family with us (just missing our missionaries, Michael and Spencer Flindt), so we took lots of pictures.  The brothers and sisters were a handsome group, as was the whole gang.
