Carlsbad Reunion: The Eberts and the Temple

The Eberts had a big event on July 8, 2021, just like the Flindts did.  Annie, who is leaving for the Louisville, Kentucky, mission in August, decided to take out her temple endowments in the San Diego LDS temple.  The first time young LDS men and women go through the temple, it is a festive experience, with family joining them for the 1 1/2 hour temple session.  Since Covid had limited temple attendance, we had the magnificent San Diego Temple almost to ourselves.  Unfortunately, Annie was also very limited, because of Covid, in the number of guests who could accompany her.  She would have loved to have all her aunts and uncles and cousins with her.

The San Diego Temple is very distinctive and can be seen easily from the freeway running south from La Jolla into San Diego.  It is technically located in LaJolla and is listed in guidebooks as one of the sights to see in that suburb of San Diego.
Jono and Emilie have both been missionaries and so have already had their own "endowments" and can attend the temple whenever they want.  Their younger brother and sisters, Ezra, Sophie, and Mia, will have to wait until they are older.

It was dark when the temple session was over.  The temple was especially beautiful, lighted up in the dark.
