Michael K Flindt is already a software developer--a type of engineer. His brother, Bryce, is studying to become a mechanical engineer. Their brother, Spencer, is a chemical engineer, and their dad, Kyle, is an electrical engineer. On January 3, 2023, the night I returned from the Rose Bowl, I applauded the family engineers.
It was a dark, snowy night, and the living room chair was filled with Amazon packages. Bryce's classes had not yet begun at BYU, so he was still staying at our house. Michael K was visiting.
Dave has washed his hands of all my new gadgets. "You'll have to put them together yourself," he says, hoping that will put an end to my purchases.
Before he left for Houston, Spencer put together my rotisserie and added another electrical plug to the end of my island.

In a thrice, on January 3, before leaving for home, Michael K had my leaf shredder assembled. "Don't stick your hand into it," he warned me, in a useful nod to his grandma's unsophistication as to such things. Thank you, family engineers!
