Tab Choir Summer Concert: Good Friends and Good Music (7/15/23)

Our good friends, Tom and Susan Horne, received 10 free tickets to the Tabernacle Choir summer concert.  We were among the lucky ones who were invited to come along.  I admire Susan very much, and I was impressed when she asked a tourist couple taking photos of the Salt Lake Temple, if they wouldn't like free tickets to the concert.  "I prayed to know to whom to give the tickets," Susan said simply, "and they were the ones."  My faith was not dashed when that tourist couple left halfway through the concert!

The concert was part of Salt Lake's Pioneer Day celebration, and focused on pioneers of the LDS faith living in Latin America.  The music and dances were Latin, and the colors and special effects magnificent.

The guest star was the featured singer from the recent Disney movie, "Encanto."

I normally don't stoop to General Authority ogling, but I did wonder:  Was that Elder Dieter Uchtdorf sitting just in front of us?  He is one of my very favorite LDS Conference speakers.
